Impact & reporting
Prove what the money did
A restricted gift creates an obligation. Meeting it well and being unable to show it are, to the donor, the same thing. Impact reporting should be a query against your own records — not a design project every autumn.

Each hop keeps the identifier of the one before it, so an outcome statement can be traced back to the gifts that paid for it.
What the system holds
The objects behind the workflow
A workflow is only as reliable as the records underneath it. These are the objects this pillar owns.
Fund and restriction
The purpose money is held for, with the rules that constrain how it may be allocated.
Allocation
Net funds assigned to a programme or activity, checked against the restriction that governs them.
Fulfillment
What the organization actually delivered, with quantities, dates and the person who recorded it.
Evidence
The filing, count, invoice or report behind the claim, attached to the fulfillment record.
Impact update
The donor-facing statement, linked to the specific gifts that funded it.
How the work runs
Four steps, in order
Read left to right on a wide screen, top to bottom on a phone. The order is the order the record moves in.
- 01 · Step 1
Allocate within the restriction
Assign reconciled net funds to programmes. An allocation contradicting a restriction is blocked and raised, not warned about.
- 02 · Step 2
Record fulfillment
Capture delivered quantities and dates with the evidence attached, by the person accountable for it.
- 03 · Step 3
Publish honestly
Compose an update that states what was delivered, over what period, from which funding — and what is not yet known.
- 04 · Step 4
Report and trace
Governed reports let anyone follow a published number back through allocations to the individual gifts.
Safeguards
What stops it going wrong
Each safeguard is server-enforced, not a UI warning.
- Safeguard
No invented numbers
An impact figure with no fulfillment record behind it cannot be published. Missing upstream data is shown as missing.
- Safeguard
Traceable metrics
Every reported figure is drillable to its source records, including the reconciliation state of the money.
- Safeguard
Donor privacy in public updates
Recognition and anonymity preferences apply to impact updates, donor walls and leaderboards alike.
The boundary
Which gifts funded this result, and can we show the evidence?
A restricted gift creates an obligation. Meeting it well and being unable to show it are, to the donor, the same thing. Impact reporting should be a query against your own records — not a design project every autumn.

Scope honesty
What this is not
Naming the boundary is more useful than implying there isn't one.
- We do not run beneficiary case management or store beneficiary personal data.
- We do not produce ESG attribution or third-party impact certification.

Design-partner program
Shape impact & reporting with us
We are working with a small number of US and Canadian nonprofits who feel the reconciliation and donor-data pain most acutely. Partners shape the sequence, see the honest status of every module, and are never charged for a capability that is still a prototype.
